FACILITATOR –Dominic Shum

Dominic has more than 20 years of senior management experiences in strategic planning, budgeting, financial management, general management and consulting. He is the principal consultant and trainer of DRC Services. He graduated from the prestigious National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and he holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Australian Institute of Business. He is a Fellow Member (retired) of the Institute of Leadership and Management (UK), currently a Fellow Member of the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia (IPA), a Fellow Member of the Institute of Financial Accountants UK, a Certified member of the Asian Association of Certified Consultants, a Certified Member of the Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries, and Life Member & EXCO member of the Malaysian Economic Association. He has held leadership positions as well as strategic positions in local and multinational companies having served as Financial Controller, Board member, Strategy Manager, Regional Business Planning Manager, Corporate Affairs Director, Group Finance Manager and other positions. He utilizes his expertise in management and finance to train managers and executives as well as imparting his knowledge to students of MBA and EMBA classes. He is on the Industrial Advisory Panel of Berjaya University College of Hospitality and he occasionally writes for business blogs, books and professional journal. He has just published an internationally available book “Effective Budgeting for Businesses Today”.

He held positions such as Financial Controller, Corporate Affairs Director, Regional Business Planning Manager, Group Finance Manager and other senior positions before embarking on his journey in consulting and training.

Dominic is a Fellow member of the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia and a council Vice President of their KL division. He is a Certified Fellow member of the Institute of Commercial & Industrial Accountants of Malaysia, A Fellow member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (UK), a Certified member of the Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries, a Certified Professional Coach and was also a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership & Management (UK). He has also written in many articles in professional journals and in business related books. Dominic is currently the principal consultant and trainer of DRC Services and does training as well with other training partner companies.
